Local Feature "Act One" Wins Festival Award
Local independent film "Act One" recently won the "Hometowner Award" for Best Feature at the Indie Memphis film festival.
Directed by local filmmaker Brad Ellis and produced by
local filmmakers Old School
Pictures, "Act One" played to a sold-out crowd at the festival, prompting a standing ovation at the end of the screening.
Grade One founders John Moore and Brian Churchill earned Co-Producer credits for their contributions to the film.
John Moore has appeared in and worked on numerous films with Old School over the years, including his work as co-screenwriter for
"Path of Fear," which won the same award for Best Feature
at Indie Memphis 2002.
A huge "congratulations" to Brad and all our very talented friends at Old School Pictures for a tremendous job.
We look forward to more film ventures with you in the future.
