Grade One Entertainment Co-Founders on Memphis Stage
This February finds Grade One Co-Founders
John Moore and Brian Churchill
performing live on stage in Douglas Carter Beane's "The Country Club".
In addition to being independent filmmakers Brian and John are
also involved in the local theatre, with this performance
appearing on the Lohrey Stage at Theatre Memphis. Directed
by Jerry Chipman, "The Country Club" marks actor John Moore's tenth production and
Churchill's first at Theatre Memphis.
This also marks the first time in years on stage together.
Earlier this summer both appeared on film during production of
the "By No Other Name" Promotional DVD, one of many projects
happening as part of the launch of Namesake
Pictures, LP announced just this
month.
Laced with sharp dialogue and true-to-life moments, "The
Country Club" is both lighthearted and serious as a group
of upper-class WASPs of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania play out their lives at the local Country Club, only to discover they are no longer
the young adults they once were. Performances of "The Country Club" are scheduled on Theatre Memphis' Lohrey stage February 3-19. For tickets and show times, please contact the Theatre Memphis box office or visit
www.theatrememphis.org.
